Richard "Rick" J. Curley Jr.

Rick was a graduate of Jupiter High School. After high school, Rick was a member of AmeriCorps, dedicating his time to public service before enlisting in the U.S. Navy in May 2003. Shortly thereafter, Rick suffered a tragic accident that left him unable to serve. However, after years of therapy and hard work, Rick redeveloped the physical capacity to help others and devoted thousands of hours as a volunteer at the Jupiter Medical Center Pavilion.

Rick is survived by his parents, Richard J. and Mary L. Curley of Jupiter, FL, his brother Christopher J. Curley, sister-in-law Loni, and his treasured niece and goddaughter, Ryann, and beloved nephew and godson, Christopher, who currently reside in Staten Island, NY.

A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Jude’s Catholic Church in Tequesta, FL on Saturday, September 28, 2019 at 10:00am, following the Mass, the family invites you to join them for snacks and refreshments at The American Legion Rood Williams Post 271 at 775 US1, Tequesta, FL. An additional Funeral Mass will be held at his family’s parish of Sacred Heart, in Staten Island, NY on October 19, 2019 at 10:00am.
