

Patricia Ann Hanzas passed away on August 22, 2021 at Jupiter Medical Center Hospital, Jupiter, Florida. She was born on May 28, 1945, in Hagerstown, MD where she spent her childhood. During her adult life she lived in Burlington, Vermont as a devoted wife and loving mother to three children. In her later years until her time of death she lived in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.
She leaves behind her husband, John Peter Hanzas of 53 years. Brother, James Baker (Stephanie); Her children John Hanzas Jr. (Sarah), Michael Hanzas, and Nicole Chalf (Adnane); Her grandchildren: Leah, Rebekah, Schyler, Ali, Victoria, Zahra, and Matteo; and her in-laws, Carlin Hanzas, Peter and Maryann McElvogue along with many loved nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents, Betty and Howard Baker.
Patricia battled multiple sclerosis during the majority of her adult life, it was very debilitating physically. She was cared for, in her home, over the past fifteen years by her Care Manager/Surrogate Daughter, Melissa Holmes, and many wonderful Caregivers. Their care helped to give her life meaning and the drive to fight her disease until the very end. Though vaccinated, her life was cut short as a result of contracting Covid. She will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing and caring for her.
