85, of Jupiter, FL passed away on February 28, 2013. Mr. Diorio was a master craftsman, expert marksman and enthusiastic fisherman who will be dearly missed by his family and friends. Born in Philadelphia, PA, he proudly served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He was the owner of a wonderful gourmet grocery store in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and was a real estate broker and owner of Diorio and O’Donnell Real Estate Company in Brigantine, NJ.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife and best friend of 24 years, Lila Diorio; son, Michael Diorio, Jr. of Palm Harbor, FL, daughters; Mary T. Schilling of Alloway, NJ, Leslie White of Absecon, NJ, Diana Gillespie of Hammonton, NJ, Toni Sims of Marathon, FL; stepson, Jim DeRose of Lake Tahoe, NV, grandchildren, Justin and Travis Schilling, Michael Diorio III, Nicole Scrank, Daniel and Dana Diorio, R. J. and Gannon White, Bayly Dipilato, Alex Andria Jenkins, Holli Harrington and Edgar Sims, and brother, Anthony (Jane) Diorio.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at Aycock-Riverside Funeral and Cremation Center at 10:00AM. A committal service with military honors will follow at the South Florida National Cemetery, 6501 State Road 7 in Lake Worth, FL.
