Maureen Vera Smith, beloved mother, went into the arms of Jesus on March 15, 2021, she was 83 years old. She has been a widow for many years and has been devoting her time to her family and her hobbies. She was born in Lakewood, New Jersey, one of seven children to Nathan and Vera Cramer.
She always loved to travel and did so in different countries as well as the United States. She was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Lake Worth. She furthered her education later in life to become a CNA then an LPN, later working for wealthy client in a private duty setting. Her hobbies included needlepoint, knitting and crocheting. She also loved playing her games on her computer to keep her brain sharp.
She is survived by her daughters, Karen Vermeal, Donna Alianiello; son-in-law, Jeffrey Alianiello; a granddaughter, Sarah Alianiello; a brother, Paul Cramer and a sister, Betty Bailey.
She is predeceased by her mother, Vera Lund Cramer; her father, Nathan Cramer; her sisters, Helen Brown and Barbara Raibes; her brothers, Donald Cramer and Larry Cramer and her grandsons, James Eric and Kevin Lee Shook.
She lived a life devoted to her children, served the Lord daily and was always willing to help others.
A celebration of her life will be at Cross Community Church, 2575 Lone Pine Road, Palm Beach Gardens, FL on March 26th at 2 p.m. We are following CDC guidelines and ask that all attending to wear a mask and practice social distancing.
The family request that all attending to wear bright colored clothing as this was her desire. Any memorial donations we ask that they made in her honor to the ALS foundation.
