Mary Beth Soares

The Soares family moved to Palm Beach Gardens, Florida in 1976 and she remained in that general area for the duration of her life. Mary Beth graduated from Palm Beach Gardens High School and continued on to Palm Beach Junior College where she earned her certificate to become a Licensed Practical Nurse. She worked at Darcy Hall of Life Care, Skilled Nursing Facility for six years and truly enjoyed caring for her patients there.

Mary Beth was a talented musician. Her interest in music started at an early age and she quickly developed skills on the banjo, piano, and guitar. She loved singing and listening to bluegrass, country music, and Bob Dylan. She was also very creative and enjoyed making jewelry for her family and friends. Mary Beth was an animal lover and rescued and cared for a feral cat, who she named Puddy, who was always by her side. She was funny, kind, and had a fantastic laugh. She will be missed incredibly by all those who loved her.

Mary Beth is survived by her brother, Stephen and his wife Denise of Menlo, GA; her brother, Kevin and his wife Jennifer of Woodland Hills, CA; her nephew, Blake Soares and his wife Erika of Winder, GA, and her niece, Alexandra Winslow, her husband Darren & their children Avery Devens, Victoria Winslow, and Evelyn Winslow of Cartersville, GA; her Aunt, Mary Beth Soares of Mattapoisett, MA; and her Aunt, Patricia Bernard of Rhode Island.

Mary Beth was predeceased by her parents, Gerald and Joyce Soares and by Freddie Orlando, the love of her life.

A private ceremony will be held at Our Lady Queen of Peace Cemetery and a celebration of life will be held with friends at a date and location to be announced later.
