Lyn Timmerman was born on October 1, 1948, in West Palm Beach, Florida to N.W. “Slats” and Marilyn Timmerman. She was the eldest of the four “Timmerman Girls” who were all raised within the loving embrace of their church family at Lakeside Presbyterian. Lyn attended South Olive Elem., Conniston Jr. High, and Forest Hill High School - Class of 1966 - where she enjoyed wonderful and lifelong friendships. She received her Associate of Arts Degree from Palm Beach Junior (State) College where she majored in Dental Hygiene.
Lyn was preceded in death by her grandparents, Earl & Alvine Schroeder, Pope Norris Timmerman & Inez Timmerman Gilbert: her parents Norris W. & Marilyn Timmerman, Aunts June Scott & Margaret Kirkpatrick; Niece Kelly Loveland Gourley; Cousin Guy Scott; Brother-in-Laws David Loveland & George Abrams; and her precious pup Noelle. She is survived by her sisters: Carol Loveland, Lauren Abrams (Charlie Burdette), Marti Kula (Don Kula) and her beloved nieces & nephews: Robyn, Danny (Jennifer), Jamie (Stephen), Russ (Jenna), Travis (Stephanie), Donnie (Jennifer) & Jeremy; and her many great nieces & nephews: Madeline & Parker; Maxwell, Brennan, & Miles; Wyatt & Clint; Elizabeth, Levi, Lane & Ivy; Collins & Ford; Bradley, James & Caroline; & Kelsi. She loved them with all her heart! She is also survived by her Aunt Eleanor (Nicholas) Cernansky, cousins Judith Scott Martin, Andrew Scott, Donna Malarky, Robert & Scott Kirkpatrick, their spouses, and Brad & Sue Tunis.
Lyn worked as a Dental Hygienist for over 50 years! She was very dedicated to dental hygiene and was extremely talented! She lived and worked in High Springs, Gainesville, Naples, Fort Myers, Plant City, Tampa, and then finally back to West Palm Beach where she finished out the last 20+ years under her adored mentor, Dr. Kenneth Embler and, after his retirement, Dr. David Meeker. Throughout those years she developed incredible friendships with her patients and co-workers; too numerous to list but she loved them all deeply! In retirement, she volunteered at Life’s Changes Boutique under our devoted friends, Beth & Dino Benvenuti. She had such a flair for decorating and this gave her an incredible outlet.
She was a proud member of Chapter AA of the PEO Sisterhood and found the loving companionship of beautiful sisters who gave her great purpose and surrounded her with love and acceptance. She also returned to Lakeside Presbyterian Church where she finally found her true church home and family to support and guide her, especially during these last five months.
There will be a Celebration of Life on Wednesday, April 9, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Lakeside Presbyterian Church – 4601 S. Flagler Dr, West Palm Beach, FL 33405. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a gift in her memory to Lakeside Presbyterian Church.
