She was married to the love of her life, Earl, for 54 years, a most devoted husband. Also left to mourn are their daughter Suzanne and her children Sara, Katharine, and Robert; and their son Douglas and his children Elizabeth Emma, and Erin. Linda was predeceased by their son A.F. Capt. Daniel Fischer and her mother Elsa Schoemer.
Linda was a fun-loving person that always brought laughter and smiles when she walked into the room. She attended Upsala College in East Orange, NJ. After moving to Florida and raising her three children, she went to school to pursue one of her passions, the law. She graduated from Palm Beach State College with a paralegal degree. Grammy dearly loved all her grandchildren, going on vacation with them and playing games. One of Linda’s greatest joys was living in Jupiter Inlet Colony. Another proud accomplishment: after Dan’s death, she and Earl formed the North County Chapter of the Compassionate friends- a group for parents who have lost children. Special thanks to Dr. Leslie Diaz, Dr. Fuquay, Dr. Breuer and their staffs for caring so much and also to Kimberly and her staff at the Tequesta Publix Pharmacy. Donations can be made to Hospice of Palm Beach County and the North County Chapter of The Compassionate Friends for their extraordinary care and attention.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, September 18th at 11:00 am, at the Jupiter Inlet Colony Beach Club, 244 Ocean Drive. Online condolences may be made at www.aycockfuneralhomejupiter.com.
