Lawrence Lewis Crawford III

He was born in Clarksburg, WV. He graduated from Geo. Washington HS in Clarksburg and West Virginia University, Morgantown, WV, Class of ’51.

“Lew” served in the US Army Corp as a Combat Veteran with the 874 BombBardment Squadron, 498th BB Group in the 730 BB Wing, on Saipan, in WWII.

“Lew” was a Master Mason, Lodge #155 of Clarksburg, WV, a member of Amara Shrine International, plus a Paul Harris Fellow of Rotary. He also was a member of the Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church of Ft. Lauderdale. He retired as an Acct. Exec. from Merrill Lynch in 1988.

He was preceded in death by his Father, L.L. “Toots” Crawford Sr., prior Sheriff of Harrison County and Step Mother, Ethel Crawford. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Barbara E. Crawford, and two children, Lawrence L. Crawford IV and Amy Crawford Clarke and four grandchildren, Ryan and Diana Crawford, Cameron and Bradley Clarke.

Lew was a loving husband, father and grandfather and will be missed by all.
