I will always remember Kim as one of the smartest people I have ever known. We became instant friends from my first day in Richmond in 2000. She was always ready to listen and share a cup of coffee. She was always there for me. I will never forget her smile and laugh. A special light has gone out. My deepest sympathies to you, Steve, Jessie and Josh.

I find in unfathomable that our Nation's Triathlon Team gathered at your house just 7 days before all these horrible events unfolded.  I remember meeting Kim at our baseball fundraiser for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.  We must have chatted for an hour.  I met Jessie -- who joined our conversation about books (of all things).  You welcomed "Team Pearson" to your home.  A team that has been through a lot together.  You have touched our lives -- and it is without a doubt that was possible through the support of your loving wife. Like me, Kim LOVED black cats...I never knew that.  Perhaps it's time for me to adopt.  I owe you so much, Coach.  You changed OUR lives .. and introduced us to a wonderful person.  We are all here for you always.  GO TEAM!
