June is survived by her children, Lauren Rossi, Donna Mauro and Ralph Rossi, Jr.; her grandchildren, Christina Simons (Jesse), Scott Mauro, Kyle (Dori) Mauro, Alexandra Rossi, Zach Rossi and Olivia Rossi; her great-grandchildren, Avery Sage, Madison Sage and Jacob Sage as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.
She was predeceased by her husband of 59 years, Ralph Rossi, Sr.; her parents, Angelina and Vincent Maffei; her brother, Eugene Maffei and her grandsons, Michael and Adam Sage.
June grew up in Bayside Queens, New York and spent many happy years living in Massapequa, New York; Wilton, Connecticut; Lake Naomi in the Poconos, and Palm Beach Gardens. She devoted her life to supporting her husband’s extraordinary career which included traveling all over the country and the world, met several presidents and attended Presidential inaugurations, the winter Olympics at Lake Placid and had a private audience with Pope John Paul II. June’s passions included playing the piano, gardening, tennis, and golf. She possessed amazing organizational skills and delighted in her family and friends. She spent many happy hours with her wonderful friends at BallenIsles playing cards, mahjong, going to happy hour, dinners, and the theater.
There will be no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the Cathedral of St. Ignatius Loyola, 9999 N. Military Trail, Palm Beach Gardens, FL on Friday, July 29, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers donations in June’s memory may be made to the Michael Vincent Sage Dragonheart Foundation, 37 Wadsworth Lane, Wallingford, CT 06492 or at www.defibandlive.org.
