Joseph Peter Crosson passed away on April 30, 2023, at age 84. Joseph, who went by the name “Peter”, died from complications resulting from his battle with lung cancer. Peter lived in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. He was preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Louvima, his sister Joan Marie, and his son Ronald. Peter’s parents, Joseph and Louvima, retired in 1955, and moved from Torrington, Connecticut to Lake Worth, Florida.
Peter is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Judith “Judy” Crosson, and his three sons, Kevin (Teresa), David, and Thomas “TJ” (Raygan). Peter has six grandchildren, Jeffery, Adrian, Bethany (Jeremiah) Foote, Catherine, Emily (Kyle), and Matthew. Peter also has two great grandchildren, Athena Deal, and Benjamin Foote.
Peter graduated from Oliver Wilcott Technical School, Torrington Connecticut in 1956, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy after graduation where he served on active duty for four years and in the Navy Reserves for two years following his active duty. He received an Honorable Discharge in 1962.
Peter began working at Pratt and Whitney in West Palm Beach, Florida in 1960, after his active duty in the Navy, where he was employed for 33 years. Peter loved working for “Pratt”, and he loved the people and projects that he was involved with while he was there. Peter retired from Pratt and Whitney in 1993.
Peter had a passion for music dating back to his childhood as his father owned Crosson’s Music Store in Torrington Connecticut. As a youth, Peter worked in his father’s music store after school. Peter also had a passion for automobiles dating back to his youth when his parents bought him his first car. His pride and joy was his 1984 Chevrolet El Camino SS, which he frequently took on cruises to the beach with his wife, Judy.
Peter’s memorial service will be held on May 18, 2023, from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm at the Aycock-Riverside Funeral and Cremation Center, 1112 Military Trail, Jupiter FL. 33458
