John Peter Orsi Jr.

John in survived by his devoted and loving wife, Dolores Brendolan Orsi; sons, John P. Orsi, III (Kim) of West Palm Beach, FL, Rick Orsi (Jennifer) of Jupiter, FL; four grandchildren, Julianne, Cameron, Jake and Sophia; sister-in-law, Josephine ”Tootsie” Orsi; along with many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his father John Orsi, Sr., his mother, Nina Orsi, and his brother Raymond.

John was born January 5, 1939 in Springfield, MA. He moved to Florida in 1961. He married his childhood sweetheart on May 27, 1961. This week they would have celebrated 54 years of marriage. John was an MP in the US Army, Fort Dix, NJ. He was an accomplished accordionist and teacher. In 1965, John joined First Bank of Boynton Beach and later worked for Southern Bank. He was a Financial Advisor for 40 years with the last 35 at A.G. Edwards & Sons, retiring in 2008 at 70 years of age. John was a wonderful and devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He loved his condo and boat. He spent many years fishing on Lake Okeechobee with his family and friends. John loved golf, NASCAR, Miami Dolphins and traveling the world with his wife. During his down time, he loved his Western’s. The family would like to thank John’s wonderful caretaker, Sherman “Carmen” Cogle. All who loved him will miss him dearly.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations be sent to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at www.stjude.org or 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. A visitation will be held Monday, May 25, 2015 from 5:00 PM-7:00 PM, Aycock-Riverside Funeral and Cremation Center, 1112 Military Trail, Jupiter. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, May 26th at 10:00 AM, in the chapel of St. Jude Catholic Church, 204 US Highway 1, Tequesta. Entombment will follow at Our Lady Queen of Peace Cemetery, Royal Palm Beach, FL.
