James T. Gillespie, Jr., 84, of West Palm Beach passed away on July 31, 2013. Mr. Gillespie was born in Augusta, Arkansas , attended Baylor University and received his MBA from Harvard University. After graduation, he proudly served in the US Army in Korea before beginning a life-long career with the Ford Motor Company, retiring after more than30 years. Mr. Gillespie was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. Left to cherish his memory are his wife and best friend of 50 years, Jeanne Gillespie, daughter, Carol Hayduk (Richard) of Boca Raton, son, James T. Gillespie, III (Katie) of Singer Island and four grandchildren. A memorial prayer service will be held at the Cathedral of St. Ignatius Loyola in Palm Beach Gardens at 10:30 A.M. on Saturday, August 17th. In Lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be sent to Vitas Innovative Hospice Care 4360 Northlake Boulevard, Palm Beach Gardens, FL 33410 or the charity of your choice.
