Jack Gellis

Mr. Gellis was born on March 18, 1930 in New York City to the late William and Fae Gellis. Jack grew up on Coney Island, NY, later enlisting in the Air Force in 1951. It was love at first sight when he spotted Barbara across the room on New Year’s Eve 1951 while home on leave, and they were married for 59 years until Barbara’s passing in 2011.

Jack was also long preceded in death by his brother Neil. Jack retired from Jack Gellis International in the garment district in the late 1980’s. He enjoyed travel, lifelong learning, history, and gemology.

Survivors include his son; Dr. Ronald (Kathy) Gellis of Jupiter, and grandsons Sean (Claudia) Gellis, Kyle Gellis, Corey Gellis and Devin Gellis.

Services will be held at Aycock Funeral Home in Jupiter. Visitation with the family will be on Friday, February 2, 2018 from 11:00 am until 12:00 pm with the service to follow at 12:00 pm. He will be buried in Valhalla, NY next to his wife Barbara.
