Hank graduated from Washington and Lee University in 1968 and served honorably in the US Army in Vietnam, earning a Bronze star. He married Brenda Gonzalez on July 7, 1990, and together they shared 32 years of marriage. Hank was employed as a Real Estate Developer for Gonzalez Associates Inc and Sailfish Realty Commercial. His development projects included Seabrook Island in SC, Loblolly Boy in Hobe Sound, FL, The Kravis Center in West Palm Beach, FL, The Borland Center in Palm Beach Gardens, FL and most recently Martin Arts, Stuart High School in Stuart, FL.
Hank was a talented real estate developer, golfer, and musician. Hank founded the Spotlight Players theater group and served as the president of the board of directors for the Young Singers of the Palm Beaches for 10 years. In 2010, Hank joined the board of directors of the Arts Council of Martin County as he and his brother were opening "Sailfish Realty" in Stuart.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda Gonzalez; two daughters, Jordan Gonzalez and Miranda Gonzalez; two brothers, Charlie Gonzalez and John Gonzalez; a son-in-law, Bradley Woods; two granddaughters, Emerson Woods and Ella Rae Woods and a son-in-law, Eriks Maxwell.
He is predeceased by his stepmother, Maggie Gonzalez; two sisters, Cecily (Randy) Gonzalez and Barbara (Babs) Brandon.
A Celebration of Life will be held on March 17, 2023 from 4:30pn to 7:30 pm at The Kravis Center, 701 Okeechobee Blvd, West Palm Beach, FL 33401. Please RSVP at [email protected].
