Age 87, of Mangrove Bay, Jupiter, Florida, peacefully passed away with her loving family at her bedside. She was the beloved mother of Janet Skrzypek and her husband John of Tequesta, Florida and Carol Torricelli of Richmond, Virginia; grandmother of Lt.Col Thomas J. Anton, currently deployed in Afghanistan and his wife, Deborah, of Clarksville, TN; loving great grandmother of twins Austin and Tyler Anton of Clarksville, TN. She is survived by her sisters Melba Luongo of Millwood, NY and Norma Catalano of Scottsdale, AZ.
Helen was born and raised in the Bronx, NY, then resided in Woodcliff Lake, NJ with her late husband, Thomas and two daughters. Helen served on the Bergen County Board of Education for Special Services and was very active in county and state politics, serving for many years on the Board of Health and County Committee. In addition to being a compassionate and loving soul, she devoted most of her professional life as an acclaimed office and business manager of her late husband’s architectural firm in Hackensack, NJ.
A viewing will be held at Aycock Funeral Home, 1112 Military Trail, Jupiter, FL on Thursday, February 28, 21013. In lieu of flowers, a memorial donation may be made to the Mangrove Bay Employee Holiday Fund in her honor.
