George Cronk, age 95, passed peacefully with loving family beside him on the morning of Oct 29. He was born on August 16, 1923 to Thomas Henry Winslow Cronk and Winifred Ruth Ingalls Cronk in the family home in Bradford, MA.
After High School he joined the US Army and served his country in the European theater of WWll. He earned his purple heart along with good conduct, victory medals and multiple campaign medals. He was honorably discharged and sent home in 1946.
He married the love of his life Beryl Jacques on Oct 4, 1947 and they had 1 child, Donald. He later established a long and rewarding career at Jamesbury Corp in Worcester, MA and retired as Plant Manager. While working and raising a family, he received a certification from Worcester Poly Technic Institute in Industrial Management. Even after graduation, he was ever furthering his education with many specialized classes.
George was a very talented and accomplished woodcarver, specialized in carving dogs and birds. He also loved baking breads from scratch. After retirement, they moved to Tequesta, FL where they enjoyed their many friends and taking cruises all over the world. He treasured his family and loved making memories with them.
He was predeceased by their only child, Donald Winslow Cronk along with his sister, Pauline C. Johnson and his brother, Robert E. Cronk.
He is lovingly survived by his devoted wife of 71 years, Beryl of Jupiter; grandson, Cirrus Cronk (Ginni); great grandchildren, Jesse, Sara and Megan all of Washington State and Canada; special friend, Donna Grimste of Tequesta FL; as well as many nieces and nephews.
For the rest of our lives we will search for moments full of you. To your family and friends you mattered greatly and will always be remembered. Thank you for all your stories and life lessons that we will all take with us.
Friends and family are invited to attend a Memorial Services at Aycock-Riverside Funeral and Cremation Center, 1112 N. Military Trail, Jupiter, FL on Thursday, November 1st, 2018, from 9 AM to 12PM.
