84, of Palm Beach Gardens passed away peacefully on August 16, 2010. Elizabeth (Betty) was born in Chicago, Illinois on Christmas Eve, to James and Eva (Cooke) Burns. The youngest of ten children, she was predeceased by her husband, Joseph A. Kaminski. Elizabeth moved to Florida in 1986 after residing in Hammond and Munster, Indiana. She worked as a secretary for the Standard Oil Company in Chicago, for the Jones Clinic and Welcome Wagon in Munster, IN, and various volunteer activities in Florida.
Elizabeth is survived by her sons, Kenneth and his wife Susan of Tulsa, OK, and Mark and his wife Eva of Avon, CT; daughter Donna of Palm Beach Gardens, FL; 4 grandchildren Michael Joseph, Sarah Marie, Erin Margaret and Mary Elizabeth; and brother, Charles Burns of Chicago Ridge, IL.
Betty was an exceptional mother, grandmother and friend. Her favorite activities included playing bridge, baking, and attending plays. In particular, she valued the loving company of family and friends, and was the consummate humble, attentive hostess.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, August 19th from 5-7PM at Aycock Funeral Home, 1112 Military Trail, Jupiter, FL. Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, August 20th at 10AM, St. Ignatius Loyola Cathedral, 9999 Military Trail, Palm Beach Gardens, FL.
Interment will be in Calumet City, IL.
