Age 82, of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 29 at Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center.
Ed, son of the late Jettie Burgess Brady and J. Hampton Brady, was born in Ramseur, North Carolina in 1930 and moved to Florida with his family in 1956. He was the owner and operator of a successful plumbing company for a number of years and later served 17 years as a West Palm Beach plumbing inspector. Ed had many joys in life, including competitively racing hydroplane boats at a younger age. His other hobbies included restoring antique boats and flying recreationally, and he owned several small planes throughout his life. Born in the heart of NASCAR country, it was only natural that he was a fan of the sport, which he enjoyed watching on Sundays.
Ed is survived by his wife of 31 years Elizabeth Stover Brady; children David (Lynn) Brady of North Palm Beach, FL, Donald (Diana) Brady of Jupiter, FL, and Patricia (Ray) Wilkinson of Tallahassee, FL; grandchildren Alexandra Brady, Donald Brady Jr., and Sean Wilkinson; sister Golda D. Gaskill and brother Billy Brady of North Carolina; and many nieces and nephews.
A viewing will be held on Tuesday, December 4 from 7-9 p.m. at Aycock-Riverside Funeral and Cremation Center, 1112 Military Trail, Jupiter, FL. A funeral service will be held at the same location on Wednesday, December 5 at 10 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Hospice of Palm Beach County, 5300 East Avenue, West Palm Beach, FL 33407.
