79, passed away on January 5, 2012 in Jupiter, Florida. He was born in Westwood, New Jersey in 1932. He was a First Lieutenant in the US Army serving from 1955-1957. Donald was an educator in Woodcliff Lake, New Jersey from 1954 to his retirement in 1990. After his retirement, Don moved to Jupiter where he resided until his passing.
While in Jupiter, Donald loved to volunteer his time. He had many volunteer jobs including working as a Docent at the Flagler Museum giving guided tours; volunteering at the Palm Beach Historical Society; the Jupiter Medical Center; the Maltz Theater; he also drove the tram at MacArthur Beach State Park. Donald sang in the Faith Lutheran Church Choir. He enjoyed all of the musical and cultural events that West Palm Beach has to offer including the events at the Kravis Center. Donald was an avid traveler taking many trips with Elder Hostel to places including Alaska, Russia, and the Holy Lands.
He is survived by his sister Barbara; his three children Kenneth, Susan, and Dianne; five grandchildren Claudia, Megen, Nina, Matthew, and Scott. Preceded in death by his wife Shirley who passed away in 1973.
