Dee Ann (Cabo) Hess Tiffany transitioned from earth to Heaven on December 7, 2021. She was born in Clarksburg, WV on May 22, 1942, the daughter of Ralph Cabo and Artha Singleton Cabo, Dee Ann graduated from Washington Irving High School where she was Secretary to the Jr. and Sr. classes, Senior Princess and one of twenty five Outstanding Seniors, Executive Board member, Cheerleader, and active in several clubs. She graduated from West Virginia University with a BS in Home Economics and a minor in English. She was an officer in Alpha Delta Pi sorority and served on the Mountainlair Governing Board. She received her Master’s in Educational Leadership from Florida Atlantic University, 1996.
She married W. Graig Hess in 1964 and they were blessed with two children, Cheryl Hess Swan (Richard) and Alan Hess (Jennifer). She worked for Judith Williams Public Relations in Tucson, AZ and in various capacities for the School Board of Palm Beach County, FL: teacher, resource teacher, and she was chosen School Choice Coordinator of the year for the entire District in 2011.
Dee Ann was active in the Junior Women’s Club of the North Palm Beaches, Junior League, Panhellenic Association (president), and Alpha Delta Pi Alumnae Association.
After attending a Faith Alive at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, she realized that there was more to being a Christian than being on the Vestry, chairing committees, and singing in the choir. She began serving on Faith Alive teams throughout the U.S. and became active in the Cursillo movement to encourage others to make a deeper commitment in their Christian walk. She has participated in and hosted Bible studies in her home since 1976.
She was preceded in death by her father Ralph Cabo, stepfather Donald Robinson, her mother Artha Cabo Robinson, sister Sandra Harold, and first husband Graig Hess (1987).
She is survived by her husband, John Tiffany, children Cheryl Swan (Richard) of Royal Palm Beach, Alan Hess (Jennifer and children Alan Jr., Joshua, and Samantha) of Seekonk, MA, Jeffrey Tiffany (Debbie and children Hope and Sam) of North Palm Beach, and John Tiffany III of Palm Beach Gardens; nieces Sherri Harold and Terri Fisher and their families.
As many know, Dee Ann was an enthusiastic lover of overseas travel. Spain, Scotland, England, Ireland, Switzerland, France, Italy, Czech Republic, Hungary, Austria, Netherlands, Portugal, Australia, New Zealand, and tons of other great environs via land and many River cruises. NOW, Dee Ann is journeying in the most fantastic of all venues – The Kingdom of her aspirations – Bon Voyage!
Service and visiting hours will be at Aycock-Riverside Funeral home, 1112 Military Trail, Jupiter, FL. Friday January 21, 2022 Visiting 2:00 – 3:30 p.m. and Service beginning at 3:30.
