Dawn Michelle (nee Tedder) Bajak was born on October 19, 1970 at Good Samaritan Medical Center in West Palm Beach, FL. Dawn was the devoted wife of Anthony (Tony) Bajak and mother of son, Blaise (16) and daughter, Blaire (14). Dawn resided in the Abacoa Community of Jupiter, FL for over 16 years She is also survived by her immediate family - her parents, Randy and Sue Tedder of North Palm Beach; her brother Brent Tedder and her sister Emily Tedder both of Stuart, FL; and her maternal grandmother, Eleanor Nail of West Palm Beach, FL. Her extended surviving family includes many aunts, uncles, cousins, mother-in-law, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, and a nephew that will all miss her tremendously.
Dawn graduated from Palm Beach Gardens High School. She earned her Bachelor's Degree from Florida State University graduating Summa Cum Laude and a proud Delta Gamma sorority sister. After college, Dawn enjoyed a very successful twenty-year career as a Senior Account Executive in radio advertising sales, locally with Infinity Broadcasting and CBS Radio. She ended her professional career working with CBS in the Tampa Bay market.
For the last several years, Dawn has devoted her time to raising her children. She spent countless hours in Florida ice arenas as a travel hockey Mom and gyms across Florida as a travel volleyball Mom. Dawn was an avid athlete; as a runner, she completed the Disney Half and Full Marathon in separate years as well as many other 5K charity races. As a skier, she graced the slopes of Steamboat Springs, CO. every year with her family and friends. Dawn loved spending time with her family in the outdoors, whether it was in the mountains or enjoying the local beaches. Dawn became a fan of the Buffalo Bills and Sabres, her husband's hometown; whom she rooted for, with many of her transplanted Western New York friends in the Jupiter area.
Dawn enjoyed all genres of music from her personal favorites - Van Morrison, Anita Baker, James Taylor and Etta James..........to country music, which she shared with her immediate family, to the Christmas Season themed songs, which started for her in early November. There was a grace about her soul when she danced to music with her very unforgettable smile. Dawn was known for coordinating some amazing annual parties in her neighborhood such as the Wines around Tuscany Event and the Christmas Cookie Party. She embodied a sense of family, friends and community.
Dawn had been a parishioner at St. Peter Catholic Church, Jupiter, FL. since moving to Abacoa, where she attended weekly Mass and regularly prayed the Rosary with her family. Previously, Dawn was a Lay Eucharistic Minister at the Cathedral of St. Ignatius Loyola, Palm Beach Gardens, FL, where she and Tony married on May 2, 1998. Dawn was a wonderful example of a devoted and faithful Christian Catholic woman.
Dawn was always putting her family first, her priorities were her husband and children, whom she adored.
While her life here on Earth was way too short, she touched countless lives, it was very well lived.
She was called by the Lord on November 30, 2020.
Visitation for Dawn will be held Friday, December 11, 2020 at the Aycock-Riverside Funeral and Cremation Center, 1112 Military Trail, Jupiter, from 4-7pm, with a service beginning at 6pm.
Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Saturday, December 12, 2020 at St. Peter Catholic Church, 1701 Indian Creek Parkway, Jupiter, at 10 am, with burial at 12:30 pm at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Cemetery, 10941 Southern Blvd, Royal Palm Beach, FL.
