Darlene attended Jupiter High School and then went on to receive her Associates of Arts degree from Palm Beach Atlantic Community College and then her Bachelors in Business Administration from the University of Miami. Darlene was engaged to David Coley, who she loved so deeply and spent many years of her life with. She worked as a coordinator for the Radiology department at Good Samaritans Hospital for 15 years and then on to being the Community Redevelopment Director the last ten plus years, for the CRA Department, City of Riviera Beach. She loved volunteering/working in the community. Darlene was also the president of the Limestone Creek Community group. She also enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was an avid supporter for the University of Miami and Luther Vandross. In her spare time, she loved the casinos and admiring a safari theme.
Darlene is survived by parents, Willie Hatcher, Sr. and Pearline Tatum-Hatcher; children, Johnathan Hatcher and Shatoria Maxwell; fiancé, David Coley; siblings, Ida Gordon (Joseph Gordon), Denise Preston, Willie Hatcher, Jr. (Christine Hatcher), Audrey Hatcher; grandchildren, Noah Hatcher and Jeremiah Hatcher, nieces and nephews, Jerome, Porsha, Jamey, Bryan, Justin, Thomas, Anthony, Josh, Tia, Jasmine, Dontavious, Adena, Ranishya and Ashley; special aunt, Verline Tatum; and many other great nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, co-workers, community advocates & friends.
