88, of Palm Beach Gardens passed away on December 29, 2016. Claire was born in Winthrop, Massachusetts on September 29, 1928. She graduated from Saint Theresa Catholic School. Claire married the love of her life, Michael Joseph Balchun on March 29, 1948. They were married for 60 years until he passed away in 2008. She worked as a secretary at FIU of Miami. Claire enjoyed sewing, bingo, feeding wild birds and stray animals; she also enjoyed spending time with her many friends and family as well as helping others.
Survived by her son Jimmy, daughter Diane; sisters Alice, Sally, and Rita; Grandsons Christopher, Jason and Travis; great grandsons Daniel and Ethan. She was preceded in death by her parents Harold and Annie and her sister Margie.
