(Nee: Cindy LaNell Wilber)
Cindy W Ladd was born January 15, 1955 in Taylor Texas. She was the daughter of Glen and the late Virginia Wilber and sister to the late Douglas (Dusty) Wilber. Cindy spent her childhood years growing up in Austin and Houston Texas and then moved with her family to Miami Florida in 1972. She attended and graduated Miami-Palmetto Senior High School class of 1973-1974.
After high school Cindy began work in the Miami fashion industry and began a lifelong passion for style and flair. She also worked in the advertising business at her father’s agency, Glen Advertising.
Cindy’s began her lifelong dream of being a wife and mother in 1980 when she married her husband of 33 years Stephen Ladd. Cindy and Steve were blessed with their daughter Kimberly and son Timothy and later with grandsons Ashton and Rylan. Cindy’s greatest joy in life was her family and she made every occasion special and important. She was the “mother” to many and she personified all the positive aspects of motherhood and unconditional love. Cindy was the room mother, the Girl Scout Leader, the volunteer, the one that came to see you when you needed support. She never claimed to be a saint and was a real and genuine person every day of her life. Cindy spoke her mind and you always knew exactly where you stood with her regarding the issue at hand. She was very fond of the expression “Don’t Mess with Texas”
Cindy is survived by her father Glen E Wilber of Colorado Springs, CO, husband Stephen G Ladd, son Timothy Ladd, daughter Kimberly L Guelig, son-in law William Guelig, and grandsons Ashton and Rylan.
