Born August 14, 1931, to Christian Nast Sr. and Irma Calvosa, Chris lived a long, full life defined by service, leadership, and generosity to others.
Chris was a proud graduate of Tilton Prep School, Bates College, and New York University. He served his country honorably as a Lieutenant in the United States Marine Corps from 1953 to 1956 and earned numerous medals for his service during the Korean War.
Chris’s entrepreneurial spirit emerged early—at just six years old, he began selling toothbrushes door-to-door. This drive led to an extraordinary career in the Health & Beauty industry that spanned more than four decades. He began with Procter & Gamble in 1958 before joining Chesebrough-Pond’s, where he launched and led international expansion in Australia and New Zealand. His visionary leadership continued at Bristol-Myers and later as Executive Vice President at Colgate-Palmolive.
Perhaps most notably, Chris served as CEO of Rexall Sundown, where he played a pivotal role in taking the company public and positioning it as a leader in the health and wellness space. Even after retirement in 2000, Chris remained active in business, serving on the boards of Q.E.P. Company Inc. and Celsius Holdings, Inc., contributing his expertise and insight well into his later years.
A passionate car enthusiast, Chris built and cared for a personal collection of vintage cars. He delighted in restoring, researching, and showcasing rare automobiles—earning numerous awards at car shows and rallies. He was an active member of the Mercedes-Benz Club and built lasting friendships through his shared love of classic cars.
Chris also gave back to the communities he loved. At Saint Christopher’s Church, he served at the Food Bank, delivering support to those in need. As a board member at Tilton School, he played a role in shaping its future and upholding its traditions.
Chris is survived by his beloved wife, Constance Nast; three children; three stepdaughters; many grandchildren; two loving cousins; numerous nieces and nephews; and a wide circle of devoted friends and caregivers.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Sunday, April 13, 2025 at 12:00 p.m. at Saint Christopher’s Church, 12001 SE Federal Highway, Hobe Sound, Florida. An interment will follow at
