Alfred “Al” Muzzio was born January 30, 1930 in Brooklyn, New York to Antonio and Teresa Muzzio. He was one of 5 siblings: Carmela, Thomas, Santa, and Mario. Alfred was a United States Army Veteran who served his country during the Korean Conflict. He was a baker who worked in the family bakery. He loved food and cooking. His other interests include music, dancing, movies, astronomy, gardening, and playing cards.
Alfred is survived by his devoted wife, Carmen Muzzio, to whom he was married almost 54 years as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He always put family first starting with his daughters: Theresa Muzzio, Elizabeth (husband Paul) Harrison, and Annette Muzzio. He is the grandfather of five: Ashley, Luna, Alexa, Ryan, and Isabella who kept him very busy.
Alfred had a strength and light that was immediately loved by all who met him. He was a devoted husband, hard-working, wonderful father, and an amazing grandfather. Alfred passed away peacefully in his sleep on August 16, 2024. He is greatly missed. Alfred was 94 years old.
The family extends a special thanks to long time family friends Tom and Nydia Grippaldi, Vitas, especially Sandra, Vivien, Cara, and Joseph as well as Ena Alexis with My Care Medical for their dedicated support and care to Alfred over the years.
The family will receive family and friends for Visitation from 4:00 - 7:00 pm, Wednesday, August 28, 2024 at Aycock - Riverside Funeral home, 1112 Military Trail, Jupiter, FL 33458
The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Clare Catholic Church at 12:00 pm, Thursday, August 29, 2024, 821 Prosperity Farms Road, North Palm Beach, FL 33408
The Burial will be at the Veteran’s South Florida National Cemetery at 2:00 pm, Thursday, August 29, 2024, 6501 S. State Road 7, Lake Worth, FL 33449.
