Dr. Yee Chong Chen

It is with great sadness that we share that Dr. Yee Chong Chen, passed away on Saturday, July 16. He died at the age of 79 in McDonough, Georgia, due to injuries sustained from a single vehicle accident.

An avid collector with a passion for his gardens and animals, he was a widely respected physician and businessman. A man of faith known for his great sense of humor, he was a member of the Atlanta Taiwanese Presbyterian Church.

He leaves behind his wife, Qin Meng his son, Dr. Michael Chen and wife Cindy, his daughter, Sophia Sim and husband Eugene, his step-children, Casey Wang and Leihan Xu, and his four grandchildren, Alyssa, Daniel, Jessica and Timothy. The eldest brother of nine, he is survived by five brothers and two sisters and preceded in death by his first wife, Guey Ching Lai Chen.

Funeral services will be held at Tara Garden Chapel, 681 North Avenue, Jonesboro, GA on Saturday, August 6. Open Visitation will begin at 11:30 and Services will begin at 1pm.
