Theodore Edwards

Theodore Edwards age 89 of College Park, GA died January9, 2012. Mr. Edwards was the Vice President of Sanderson Industries until his retirement and in his younger years, taught Wood Shop in high School in Chicago. A proud U.S. Army Veteran, Mr. Edwards served his country in World War II, surviving the Battle of Normandy. He enjoyed fishing, bowling and was an excellent wood worker. Most of all, he was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather who loved the Lord and will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his wife, Marjorie Edwards of College Park; daughters and sons in law, Pamela and Virgil Dortch of Powder Springs and LaQuita Johnson-Stewart and James Stewart of Newnan; grandchildren, Virgil Dortch III, Kristen Dortch, Jamel Small, LaConnie Woods, Derek Huggins, Marquita Huggins and Marcus Dortch; great grandchildren, Destiny Dortch, Jamecia Small, Jordyn Huggins, D.J. Huggins, Haley Small, Jamel Small, Jr. and Jayden Small.

A Funeral Service for Mr. Edwards will be Saturday, January14, 2012 at 1:00 PM at Tara garden Chapel with Pastor Ben Lang officiating. Interment will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Friday, January13, 2012 from 6-8- PM at the Funeral Home. Tara Garden Chapel Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements 770-471-7171.
