Mae Tea Stone, 60, passed in Atlanta, GA on Saturday, January 15, 2011. She was born January 10, 1951 to Ella Wee and Robert L. Stone, Sr. of Lexington, MS. She grew up and attended the public schools in Greenwood, MS, where she graduated from high school; received a BA from Alcorn State University in MS in 1972; and taught high school in Drew, MS before moving to Baltimore, MD where she began her career in the food service industry, which she made her life’s work; culminating as Director of Operations for ABL Management, Inc. of Baton Rouge, LA. She was initiated into Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Wilberforce Alumnae Chapter in 1989 and served as President from 1991-1992, as well as Undergraduate Advisor for Beta Chapter at Wilberforce University. She was preceded in death by her parents and is survived by her brother Robert Stone, Jr., sister-in-law Regina Stone, niece Shalona Stone, nephew Robert Stone III, and a host of relatives, friends, and colleagues. Services will be held on Friday, January 21, 2011, Viewing 11:00 AM – 12:30 PM, Funeral Service at 1:00 PM., Fountain of Faith Missionary Baptist Church, 6712 W. Fayetteville Rd, P.O. Box 960639, Riverdale, GA 30296. The interment will follow in Sherwood Memorial Park Cemetery, 6841 Tara Blvd, Jonesboro, GA. 30236.
