Mr. Carl Wesley Plemons Jr., 66 died August 24, 2011. Mr. Plemons was born in Fort Oglethorpe to Carl and Sallie Plemons. He served in the U. S. Army. In 2001 Mr. Plemons retired from Lucent Technologies after 30 years of service with the telephone company. A longtime resident of Jonesboro, he was a member of Fairview Baptist Church in Jonesboro where he was a deacon. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Gail Voyles Plemons, his daughter Michelle Roberts and her husband Michael, their children Megan, Matthew, and Morgan, his son Wesley and his fiancée Jennifer and their children Harley and Dylan. Services for Mr. Carl Wesley Plemons Jr. will be held at Tara Garden Chapel funeral home is Jonesboro, GA on Sunday August 28, 2011 at 2:00 PM. Visitation will be Saturday, August 27, 2011 from 6-8 PM.
