Mr. Billy Owen Stallings

Billy Owen Stallings, 68, of Riverdale, passed away on Monday, April 12, 2010. Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday April 14, at 1 p.m., in Horis A. Ward Tara Chapel Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on TODAY (Tuesday April 13), from 4 p.m., to 9 p.m. Interment will follow in Muscadine Cemetery, with the Rev. Lee Griggs officiating. Mr. Stallings served in the U.S. Marine Corps for many years and was also the head of security at Southern Regional Medical Center. He was a member of Greater Heights Baptist Church in Fayetteville. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Nancy Ethridge Stallings, of Riverdale; son and wife, David and Nicky Stallings, of Senoia; daughter and husband, Linda and Danny Blanchard, of Douglasville; five grandchildren, Danny and Meghan Blanchard, Jr., Kayla Blanchard, Justin Stallings, and Clarissa Leon; one great-grandchild, Emma Blanchard; sisters, Gaylene and David Dudley, of Murchison, Texas, and Betty Thrower, of Kilgore, Texas Mr. Stallings was preceded in death by his parents, Edwin and Lonia Stallings
