Betty Jane McManus

Betty Jane McManus, age 81, of Forest Park, GA passed away on December 2, 2021. She was born to the late Delbert R. and Louise P. Miles on January 26, 1940 in Atlanta, GA. She attended primary school in Fairburn, GA and high school in Forest Park, GA.

She was a very dedicated and hardworking lifelong waitress and server but taking care of her family was her most important job. Betty was a member of First Baptist Church of Forest Park. She enjoyed bowling, camping, bingo, playing the lottery, visiting casinos, decorating, gardening, cooking and sewing.

She will be greatly missed.

She leaves to cherish her memory her two daughters; Benita (Darryl) Carter of Forest Park, GA; and Marlene (Scott) Garrett of Columbus, GA, her sister; Cindy (John) Green of Peachtree City, GA, her brother; Tim (Diane) Miles of St. Augustine, FL, her grandchildren; Karessa Carter of Jonesboro, GA, Brandon Wigley of Atlanta, GA, Ashley Wigley of Kennesaw, GA, Joseph Carter of Forest Park, GA, and Miles Carter of Forest Park, GA, her two nieces; Amanda (David) Nunimaker, and Mindy (Jason) Dougherty both of Fernandina Beach, FL, her two great-nieces; Elana Numimaker and Raleigh Nunimaker both of Fernandina Beach, FL and a host of cousins.

A memorial service for Betty will be held Thursday, December 9, 2021 at 1:00 PM at Tara Garden Chapel, 681 North Ave, Jonesboro, Georgia 30236.
