Barbara is preceded in death by her parents, William and Ida King; husband, George McAllister; son, David McAllister; and sisters, Lois King and Virginia Hedden.
Barbara is survived by her loving daughter, Susan Denise McAllister; grandchildren, Jason Gibson Tosha (Micah) Brown, Bart McAllister and Matthew McAllister; 5 great-grandchildren, and a host of other friends and family.
Barbara’s family will receive friends for Visitation on Tuesday, January 7, 2020 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at Tara Garden Chapel – 681 North Avenue – Jonesboro, GA 30236.
Funeral Services honoring Barbara’s life will be held on Wednesday, January 8, 2020 at 11:00 AM at Way of the Cross Baptist Church – 1640 Mt. Carmel Road – McDonough, GA 30253 with Pastor Steven Bell officiating.
Barbara will be laid to rest at College Park Cemetery – 3600 Adams Street – College Park, GA 30337.
Tara Garden Chapel has been entrusted with the arrangements.
