William Frank Jones

William F. “Bill” “Walleye” Jones passed away April 20, 2025 in Johnstown OH. He was born Aug. 9, 1959, the son of William and Alice Jones. He is survived by his children, W. Tyler (Lauren) Jones of Johnstown, OH, and Megan (Richie) Jones Mason of Stallings NC, his beloved grandchildren, Dalton and Tucker Mason and Libby Jones, and his sisters Ellen (Jim) Sharp of Bowling Green and Ann (Doug) Baker of Lewis Center, OH.

He worked for many years in the construction industry and influenced many persons with his knowledge and advice.

Bill was an avid and excellent hunter and fisherman and enjoyed nothing more than being outdoors.

For those who knew Bill, his favorite noun, verb, adverb, adjective were all derived from a word that has its first letter in the first part of the alphabet.

His humor was ribald, colorful, inventive and always meant in good taste and great fun.

He was a proud father and loving grandfather and brother and will be greatly missed by many, many people.

Bereavement services will be private. A celebration of life will be held at a later date for friends and family.
