Wesley Bruce Baker

Wesley Bruce Baker, 81, of Newark, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, June 14, 2023. He was born December 9, 1941 in Denver, Colorado to the late Wesley and Mary (Watson) Baker. Wesley was a veteran of the United States Army. He went on to become a Methodist Pastor and retired after 30 years of preaching, and in his spare time Wesley would volunteer with hospice, listen to music, and would create playlists of music to share with the residents of various nursing homes. Wesley is survived by his children, Christopher (Kristie) Baker, Julie (Andrew) Baker, and Emily Baker; grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends. In addition to his parents, Wesley is preceded in death by his wife, Judith “Judy” Baker, and granddaughter Rhyanna Baker. Family and friends may call from 12:00-2:00pm and 4:00-6:00pm Saturday, June 24, 2023 at Crouse-Kauber-Fraley Funeral Home, 225 N. Main St. Johnstown, OH 43031. The family would like to give special thanks to Home Instead in Granville, and to Wesley’s close friends, neighbors, and church family for all of their help.
