Robert Eugene Sims Sr., 82, of Johnstown passed away Sunday, May 5, 2024 at Mount Carmel East Hospital. He was born May 12, 1941 in Morgantown, West Virginia to the late Amy and Eugene Sims. Robert retired after twenty-five hardworking years from Kroger Bakery, where he worked at the elevator and loading docks. Robert also took great pride in coaching his son’s Little League baseball teams. He was devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend to all. Robert is survived by his beloved wife of sixty years, Patricia Sims; children, Rob Jr. (Angel), Keith (Conny), Shawn (Brenda), Wendy (Don), and Danielle (Tom); six grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; brother, Larry (Rosanne); sweet puppy, Poncho; and a host of other family, friends, and loved ones. In addition to his parents, Robert is preceded in death by his sister, Freda “Toots” Sims.
