Richard “Dick” H. Webster, age 73 of Johnstown, died Saturday June 21, 2014. He was born in Columbus, Ohio on September 1, 1940 to the late Roy and Hertha (Wilson) Webster.
Dick was a member of the Watkins Memorial HS Class of ’58 and entered the US Navy after graduation, serving on the USS Arcadia. He loved to fly and had a Private Pilot’s license, was a jack of all trades with anything wood or metal, and was an avid New England Patriots fan.
He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Linda and their son Dustin (Jennifer) Webster; sons David and Steven (Donna) Webster, daughter Denise Webster and their mother JoAnn Webster; grandchildren Kelcie, Quinton and Brandt. Stepmother Dot Thompson and brothers Jim and Butch Webster, his sister Linda Moreland, brothers Danny, Jeff and Chris Webster as well as other extended family members.
Friends may call at the Crouse Kauber Sammons Funeral Home on Wednesday June 25, 2014 from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM. A graveside service with military honors will be held at 1:00 PM at the Green Hill Cemetery with Pastor Tom Myers officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to the American Heart Association in his memory. An online memorial will be at www.cksammons.com.
