John David Shaw

John David Shaw, 52, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away peacefully Wednesday July 13, 2022 at Riverside Hospital in Columbus surrounded by family and loved ones. He was born July 18, 1969 in Cleveland, OH to the late James Shaw Sr. and Carol Hollis-Shaw. John attended West Virginia University, and eventually graduated from Franklin University. He was a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corp. John was a retired Columbus Fire Department Lieutenant. John loved his family, fiancé, and friends more than anything. He was an avid sports fan, rooting for the Columbus Blue Jackets, West Virginia Mountaineers, The Ohio State Buckeyes, and Cleveland Browns. He is survived by his beloved brothers, James Shaw Jr. and Jason Shaw; daughter, Ann Marie Shaw; nephew Jared Shaw; niece, Teagan Shaw; fiancé, Leah Park; and step-son, Reed Harster.
