Emma Maria Ward

Emma Maria Ward, 84, of Johnstown, Ohio passed away Saturday, April 9, 2022. She was born November 10, 1937 in Homs, Libya. In 1941 her family moved to Italy, and she eventually came to America in 1962. Emma was a talented and hardworking seamstress, and in her free time she enjoyed tending to her garden, cooking, bird watching, and crocheting for many charities. Emma is survived by her loving children Paola (Ed) O’Flaherty, Edward (Kim) Ward, Christopher (Michelle) Ward, grandchildren Harley (Carmen), Torrie (Michael), Tyler (Aida), and Jacob (Paige), great-grandson Wade, and a host of other family, friends, and loved ones. She is preceded in passing by her sons Paul Ward Jr and Robert Ward, parents Benedetto and Maria Angela Carniato, and sister Clara Frisiani. Family and friends may call from 10-11am Saturday, April 23, 2022 at Crouse-Kauber-Fraley Funeral Home 225 N Main St, Johnstown, OH 43031. Immediately following the calling hour a memorial service will begin. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Emma’s name to National Church Residences Hospice or to Mount Carmel Hospice.
