Emma worked as a fine jeweler for Zales and retired from Lynds Fruit Farm after 25 years. She took pride in her crafts, cooking, crocheting, and loved her beautiful flower gardens while spending summers with her mother.
Emma, affectionately known as Honey, is preceded in death by her loving husband Robert, whom she married September 24th, 1955. Her parents Madeline and Henry Horton, brother Robert (Diddo) Horton, and sister, Gladys (Lambi) Hjelm.
Survived by her sister, Edith Daigle; children, Robert (Mitzi) Thompson, Laurie Parks-Willison, Linda (Carl) Dixon, Lisa Thompson, with whom she resided in Alexandria, and Lorna Smallwood of Florida, along with many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
A special thank you to her daughter Lisa, and granddaughter Charice, for their endless and selfless devotion in caring for her, and to Hospice of Central Ohio.
Funeral services will be private.
Emma will be laid to rest along side of her love at Maple Grove Cemetery, 105 Maple Dr., Alexandria, Ohio
