Dorothy Sandra "Sandy" Clark, 83, of Granville, Ohio, passed away peacefully on September 5, 2024, in Columbus, Ohio. Born on November 12, 1940, in Chicago, Illinois, Sandy lived a full life marked by love, laughter, and devotion to her family.
Sandy is survived by her loving children, Denise Hahn of Beavercreek, Ohio, Michelle Dague (Rick) of Newark, Ohio and Robert Clark III (Carla) of Pottstown, Pennsylvania. She leaves behind her four grandchildren, Maxwell Chick, Alexandra Chick, Coty Hahn, and Kolton Hahn, as well as her brother-in-law Christopher Clark (Bobbi). She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert Clark Jr., her son, Christopher Clark and her parents, Freghoff and Dorothy Marie Halvorsen.
Sandy graduated from Arlington Heights High School in 1958 and went on to live a life filled with joy and passion. She had an innate ability to make friends quickly ensuring her warmth was shared with as many people as possible. She was an avid gardener and often tortured her children and grandchildren with her cooking. She was a lover of books, a fierce card player, and enjoyed sewing. Sandy's loyalty to her hometown teams, specifically the Chicago Cubs, was legendary. She was also a proud member of the Arlington Thunderbirds and enjoyed singing with the Vintage Voices of Granville.
Sandy will be most remembered for her deep love of family. She made sure that all of her children and grandchildren knew how much they meant to her, often showing her affection with little kisses whenever she could.
A memorial service will be held at the Centenary United Methodist Church in Granville, Ohio from 4pm to 7pm on Monday October 14th, 2025.
Sandy’s love, humor and spirit will forever be cherished by those who had the pleasure of knowing her.
