Peggy Erwin, 71, of Gray, Tennessee, passed away on Sunday, January 28, 2024 at the Life Care Center of Gray. She was born on December 11, 1952 in Johnson City, Tennessee, a daughter of the late Jay and Mamie Erwin. She will be greatly missed by her family, sister, Joyce Hammerdorfer, brother, Randy (Wilma) Erwin, niece, Lori (Bill) Foy, and great nephews, David Foy and Brandon Foy.
Peggy worked at Northside Hospital in Johnson City, Tennessee, and then moved to Nashville while working for HCA (Hospital Corporation of America). Peggy was a kind-hearted and generous person with a very good sense of humor. She made many friends during her life and loved spending time with them and her family. When friends visited in her hometown, she would show them some of her favorite places, such as the Covered Bridge in Elizabethton, TN, but first stopping to obtain a Sammons Hot Dog or maybe going to Greggs for pizza.
Peggy especially loved her dogs, Savannah, Gracie, and Kelly, and was a supporter of ASCPA. Donations may be made in her memory to the ASCPA at PO Box 96929, Washington, DC 20090-6929.
The family would like to thank the entire staff of the Life Care Center of Gray, TN for their care of our Peggy. Thank you for your kind-hearted and considerate care of Peggy during her stay at your facility.
Committal Service and Inurnment will be held Wednesday, February 7, 2024 at 12:00PM in the Garden of Peace at Monte Vista Memorial Park with Rev. Edward Davis officiating.
