Jerry Wayne Miller, age 66, of Johnson City, Tennessee, passed away on Tuesday, August 27, 2019 at his residence in Johnson City, Tennessee. He was born in Johnson City, Tennessee, a son of the late Frank and Mary Nelson Miller.
Jerry worked as a security guard, electrician, roofer and in maintenance. He enjoyed building various projects. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church of Johnson City.
He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Barbara Kay Dykes Miller; three children, Shay Madena, Mary Lichtenstine, and Gary Miller and wife Tabitha; two step-children, Michael Surber and Jimmy Lee Vance; 9 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Eddie Miller and wife Lisa and Charlie Miller and wife Bobbie; one sister, Linda Rosenbalm; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Saturday, August 31, 2019 from 12:00PM until 2:00PM at Monte Vista Funeral Home. Funeral Service will follow at 2:00PM with Pastor Jim Chapman officiating. Committal Service and Interment will follow in the Garden of the Last Supper at Monte Vista Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Gary Miller, Mary Lichtenstine, Michael Surber, Jimmy Lee Vance, Cody Surber and David Queen.
The family wishes to express a special thanks to the staff of Avalon Hospice, Dr. Forest Garrett, and to William Cleaver, FNP, for all their love and care shown to Mr. Miller.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mrs. Barbara Miller to help offset expenses.
