Gail Fonda Caldwell, age 84, of Johnson City, Tennessee, passed away on Friday, August 25, 2023, at the Abundant Christian Living. She was born in Johnson City, Tennessee, a daughter of the late W. Roy Glover and Roberta Lovelace. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Richard C. Caldwell, Jr.; her fiancé, Willie Darnell, Jr.; and several siblings.
Gail was of the Presbyterian faith and retired as a secretary from Powell Clinch Utilities. She loved to read, work crossword puzzles and making wreaths and floral arrangements.
She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Linda Caldwell; one grandson, Matthew Caldwell; one granddaughter, Elizabeth Zacharyasz and husband Dustin; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Saturday, September 2, 2023 from 12:30 PM until 1:30 PM at Monte Vista Funeral Home. Committal Service and Interment will follow in Garden of Peace at Monte Vista Memorial Park with Chaplain Jeff Hammer officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the charity of choice.
