Benny Graham Hagy, Sr., age 85, of Jonesborough, Tennessee, passed away on Sunday, May 26, 2024 at his residence. He was born in Johnson City, Tennessee, a son of the late Graham Hagy and Lena Bowers Brockwell and was a lifelong resident of the area.
In addition to his parents, Benny was preceded in death by his two siblings, John Hagy and Betty Musick.
Benny served 37 years in law enforcement as a Washington County Constable and a Unicoi County Deputy Sheriff. He served as a Criminal Investigator for the 1st Judicial District Attorney General’s Office for last 21 years of his career.
Benny leaves his wife of 47 years, Sheila Hagy; his three children, Ben (Bubba) Hagy and wife Teresa, Christie Wilson and husband Mike, Brooke Rowland and husband Burl; and his four grandchildren, Jessica Runyon and husband Buddy, Lily Wilson, Illian Rowland, and Colden Rowland, along with countless friends and colleagues.
It was Benny’s wish to have a private service with his family and Pastor Tim Broyles officiating. A Private Entombment will be held in the Chapel Mausoleum at Monte Vista Memorial Park.

The family would like to extend their thanks to the doctors, nurses, and staff at the Johnson City Cancer Center and to the staff of Amedisys Hospice for all of their care and support.
