Nancy Ann Ferrara

Nancy was born on April 11, 1939, in Detroit, MI, a daughter of the late Joseph and Josephine Peplaski. She attended St. Anthony’s High School in Detroit, Class of 1957.

On August 25, 1962, she was united in marriage to Joseph David Ferrara at Guardian Angels Catholic Church in Detroit.

Nancy was employed at General Motors in Detroit as an executive secretary in the Ternstedt Manufacturing Division for eight years. They left Detroit for Algonac, MI to raise their family in 1967.

In 1990, they moved to Port St. Lucie, FL and she began working for software developer John Henry Martin. In 1992, she then became the receptionist for Anderson & Anderson Family Law. For the past 20 years, she has been a valued employee as the Office Manager and Executive Assistant for Lauri J. Goldstein & Associates, PLLC in Stuart, FL.

Nancy loved having family and friends around her, and enjoyed holiday and party planning, which she did with ease. Most memorable gatherings included Detroit Red Wing hockey, Halloween, Cedar Point, roller-skating and card-playing parties. She also loved being near the water – walking on the beach, floating in a pool and especially boating.

It was easy to be around Nancy – she was gracious, warm and cleverly funny. She was a silent leader, polite, patriotic, and smart. She did everything with class, style and grace.

Nancy is survived by her husband of 57 years Joseph Ferrara, her three children - Julie Ann and Paul LaBouve of Kennebunkport, ME; David Ferrara of Stuart, FL; Joe and Linda Ferrara and two grandchildren Drew and Lucas of Hillsboro, MO; sister Shirley Scherzer of Liverpool, NY, and many other extended family members. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, her brother James Peplaski, sister Barbara Metzger, and brother Michael Peplaski.

All are welcome to celebrate Nancy’s life on Friday, August 30, from 4:00-7:00 at Aycock Funeral Home, 950 NE Jensen Beach Blvd, Jensen Beach, FL 34957.
