Mary Ann T Gifford

Port St. Lucie, Florida, on Sunday, January 31, 2016 after a brief illness.

Born June 17, 1940, in Gloucester, New Jersey, to Doris and Charles

McGuire, she attended Holy Cross Elementary School and graduated from

Essex County Girls Vocational School where she became certified as a

Legal and Technical Secretary.

She lived and worked in New Jersey at various legal and engineering

firms before settling in Florida, where she worked in the Martin County

Tax Collector's Office as the Administrative Assistant to the Tax

Collector until retiring in 2004.

Mary Ann will be especially remembered for her quick wit and the

tenaciousness that allowed her to overcome many life challenges. Her

hobbies included crocheting, reading, and keeping up with her friends

and family on Facebook.

She was predeceased by her husband Thomas, her brother Charles (Mickey),

and her sister Doris.

Survivors include her daughter Paula, son Joseph, son Anthony, and

daughter-in-law Danielle; her grandchildren Aiden and Sophia; her

brother William; her sister Ellen; her nieces Diane, Susan, Jamie,

Paula, Jill, Shaunee, Paige, and Alicia; her nephew Jon; her

step-children Erica, Marjorie, and Jeffrey.

Services will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, February 3, at Aycock

Funeral Home, 950 NE Jensen Beach Blvd, Jensen Beach, FL. In lieu of

flowers, the family asks that you consider a Memorial Gift to The
