David E. Marion, 70, of Port St. Lucie, FL passed away on September 26, 2023.
Born in Holyoke Massachusetts in Holyoke Hospital to Edward Marion and Shirley Marion. David previously lived in South Hadley Falls, MA., before moving to the Treasure Coast area after his graduation.
David attended the Morgan School in 1958 and grew up in Massachusetts where he attended grade school and graduated high school.
David was an owner of Tamera's Forever Bridal, Inc. a family business that he really loved and enjoyed. David also worked and managed Male Trend an upscale men's clothing store in Harbour Bay Plaza for years before the owners retired and closed the store, and then he worked full time at Tamera's Forever Bridal, Inc. David also managed the men's store Surreys. And owned and operated several men's stores in Florida and owned a men's store in St. Thomas. He also helped his mother run their family candy store in CA. "Sugarplum Candies and Collectibles". Retail was just in his genes.
David loved music, he grew up playing the drums and played in several bands when he was young. He also played baseball, football, surfed and his favorite love of all were fishing and boating. He and his parents owned several boats through the years, and he was always on the water and at the beach with the love of his life Carolyn Marion. He loved spending time with his family and being a part of Tamera's Forever Bridal where he loved being every day.
David was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Stuart, FL. Where he loved attending church and the church activities, and he loved the Lord.
David is survived by his stepdaughter Tamera (Bill) Burdette of Port St. Lucie, FL, his loving grandchildren and great grandchildren.
David was preceded in death by his parents Edward and Shirley Marion, and his loving wife, the love of his life Carolyn E. Marion (Werner — Steward).
A funeral service and memorial will be held on November 4, 2023, at 11:00 am. at Redeemer Lutheran Church 2450 SE Ocean Blvd. Stuart, FL, 34996 with a brunch immediately following the service at Redeemer Lutheran Church.
Memorial contributions may be made in his name to Redeemer Lutheran Church in Stuart, FL to go towards Redeemer Lutheran School.
