William L. Bailey

He was born March 30, 1929 in Roscoe, a son of the late Joseph and Ann Smith Bailey.

Mr. Bailey served in the United States Army from 1947 through 1948.

He was a minister with the Church of the Nazarene, having pastored churches in Saltville, VA, Springboro, Jerome, Corry, Sharon, McDonald and Carlisle and was a member of the Jefferson Church of the Nazarene.

On October 29, 1962 he married Margaret “Peggy” Canan Bailey, who survives.

Also surviving are five children, Cheryl Baily of Long Island, NY, Robert (Denise) Bailey of Methuen, MA, John Bailey of Florida, Beth (Ray) Stark of Hermitage, and Larry Bailey of East Boston, MA; eight grandchildren; and two sisters, Joan Kelley of McLean, VA and Betty Lee of Alabama.

Deceased is a brother John Bailey.

Friends will be received from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday in the Behm Funeral Home, 1477 Jefferson Rd., Jefferson, PA 15344, Gregory P. Rohanna, supervisor, and on Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. in the Jefferson Church of the Nazarene, 168 S. Washington St., Jefferson, PA 15344, the hour of services with the Rev.
